The 44th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the 21st General Assembly of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) lasts 5 days, from Monday June 5 to Friday June 9.
Researchers, Experts, Industry Suppliers, Winegrowers, Oenologists, Public Administration Representatives, Students, Buyers, Wine Lovers and anyone interested in the wine industry.
The event has two venues. The first venue where the congress will be held is located in Cadiz, in it Congress Palace and the second headquarters is located in Jerez de la Frontera, in the gardens of Museums of the Watchtower.
Both cities belong to the Community of Andalusia, in the southwest of Spain and are located at a distance of about 35 km from each other.

We recommend that if you are going to purchase tickets with access to the Full Ticket (yellow), Companion (white) and Delegate (Blue) dinners, stay in Jerez de la Frontera for your comfort.
The congress will take place in two cities, Cádiz and Jerez de la Frontera.
In Cádiz the scientific part will take place from June 5 to 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Dinners and other activities will be held in Jerez.
Jerez can be reached by plane or train.
From the airport to the hotels in Jerez, a taxi usually costs around €15
From Jerez airport to hotels in Cádiz the taxi usually costs €55
The taxi rank is located at the exit of the airport terminal. Taxis are fast, comfortable and safe, it is not necessary to negotiate the price before leaving.
You can reserve a vehicle online- there are different companies that provide this service, the cost of VTC is higher than a normal taxi. But there are apps like Uber or Cabify with cheaper prices.

At the exit of the station there are taxis available. The price will depend on the distance to the hotel where you are staying. The rate is €0.55 per KM- with a minimum cost of €4.82. The station is 10 minutes from the center of Jerez.
If you do not find a good connection to Jerez airport, you can fly to Seville Airport (SVQ), which is 200 km, 1h15 minutes by car, from Jerez de la Frontera.
There are trains from Sevilla Santa Justa to Jerez de la Frontera, daily. The journey from the airport to Jerez de la Frontera is approximately 2 hours by public transport.

Once you register you will get a discount of 5% on the purchase of train tickets.
There will be 3 bus stops for daily transfers from Jerez to Cádiz.

8:00 to go to the congress.
17:30 return of the congress to the hotels.
There will also be transportation for those congressmen who have dinner included on Tuesday, June 6 at Yeguada EXPASA- the start of the 4 points will be at 7:00 p.m.
For the rest of the dinners, as they are in Jerez city, there will be no transportation from Jerez, since they are short distances where you can walk in a maximum of 15 minutes.
On June 8 are the technical visits, at 9:15 we will leave the different hotels in the corresponding bus. Please be punctual and be patient as the buses will make the route through all the hotels, and we will depend on traffic.

Cádiz can be reached by plane to Jerez and from there a taxi, cost approximately €55
By Train: CADIZ station.
From the Cádiz train station you can take a taxi to any hotel in Cádiz, minimum cost of the journey €3.63, price per km €0.72.
From any point in Cádiz you can get to the Palacio de Congresos for the daytime activities on June 5, 6 and 7 on foot or by taxi.
If you are staying in Cádiz, and you are going to attend one of the dinners organized by the congress, there will be a bus departure from the Palacio de Congresos on the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th. The departure times for these dinners will be 19:30.
The returns will always be at the end of the dinners.
June 8- for technical visits. There will be a bus from the Palacio de Congresos at 8:45 am to go to the starting point of the technical visits in Jerez. Once in Jerez, the congressmen will be distributed on the correct bus for the reserved visit.
At the end of these visits the bus will stop in Jerez, and continue to Cádiz.
We do not offer shuttle service from the airport or train station to the different hotels.

Yes, meals are included with all tickets that have access to the Congress. They will be buffet-style meals on the second floor of the Palacio de Congresos.

The World Congress of Vine and Wine is held annually in one of the 49 countries affiliated with the Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). This organization mainly brings together scientists and academics, as well as grape and wine producers who participate in the exchange of knowledge and new findings on cultivation, production, characteristics and other elements.
The OIV is defined as an intergovernmental organization of a scientific and technical nature, with recognized competence in the field of vines, wine, wine-based beverages, table grapes, raisins and other vine-derived products. . For more information, you can consult the website of the OIV.
