The old pasture of Fuente del Suero is home to the most important reserve of Spanish Carthusian horses in the world.

Yeguada Cartuja Hierro del Bocado is located near the Monastery of La Cartuja in Jerez de la Frontera.

As early as the 15th century, the Monasterio de la Cartuja became the cornerstone of the breeding of the Jerez horse.

Yeguada Cartuja Hierro del Bocado belongs to the General Directorate of State Heritage and is responsible for the management, study and improvement of this genetic heritage.

Regarding traditions, research and work programs come together to breed, select and preserve these wonderful specimens.
